How do I check a Hawaii contractor's license?
Use MyPVL license search at https://mypvl.dcca.hawaii.gov/public-license-search/. SubSub's live check does not cover Hawaii yet.
Does Hawaii require contractors to be licensed?
Hawaii licenses by classification — A for general engineering, B for general building, C for each specialty — and there is no dollar threshold below which contracting is unlicensed. Bidding without one is an offence.
